An Introduction to God

Contrary to the general belief among those ignorant about Islam, Allah is no Arabic tribal God.
Allah is not the God of the Arabs or the Muslims. He is not the property of a community.
Nor is He the Lord in charge of a particular nation or community or a particular time span alone.

The English word "God" represents that power who creates, sustains and regulates the universe and has prescribed life cycles for such tiny creatures as unicellular organisms and insects like flies, to big celestial dimensions such as orbits of planets.

In Mayalam, the word "Daivam" or "Eeswaran" or "Jagadeeswaran" denotes the same power.

In Hindi, it is "Bhagwaan" or "Eeswar".

In Arabic the term is "Allah". It is an Arabic term to denote the same power.

But, there is an interesting technicality about the term "Allah".
Allah in Arabic is a term derived from "Al Ilaah" - directly translated as The God.
There is no plural, masculine, feminine form for this term.

Take the English term God.

The femine form of the term "God" is goddess.
The plural form of the term "God" is gods.

In Malayalam, the feminine form of the term "Bhagwan" is "Bhagwathi".
I am not so sure if the term has a plural form..
The plural form os "Eeswaran" is "Eeswaranmaar"
I am not so sure if this term has a feminine form.
The feminine form of "Daivam" is "Devi"
The plural form of "Daivam" is "Daivangal".

I am not so acquainted with the Hindi language to discuss with confidence the terms and its tenhnicalities in Hindi.
But there are definitely words to denote God in singular, plural and masculine and feminine terms.

The term "Allah" has only one form. Hence, this term in itself is a declaration of monotheism.
Allah is The God - the one God who is worshipped by every theists.

The 112th chapter in Quran familiarises man with the concept of God.

Say: "He is Allah, the One and Unique;
Allah, Who is in need of none and of Whom all are in need;
He neither begot any nor was He begotten;
and none is comparable to Him"

Thus the faith of Islam has this One and Absolute God at its centre - a power that was neither reproduced from other elements or factors nor that reproduced other enities like it and He is like no other either in Form or Attributes or Power. In Qualities also, none is comparable to Him and His Qualities are without blemish and beautiful and high in intellect, wisdom and principles.
